Character
Name: Kingsley Tealeaf
Canon: Critical Role, Campaign 2
Canon point: Shortly before The Mighty Nein Reunited two-shot
CRAU?: No
Age: Biologically around 26/27
History: Wiki link
Personality: In many ways, the personality known as Kingsley is still learning and developing who he is. Though his body has existed previously, Kingsley only came into being after the Mighty Nein defeated Lucien and were trying to resurrect Mollymauk. One thing that Kingsley is certain of, though; he knows for sure that he is definitely not either Lucien or Mollymauk, and is a unique individual all his own.
There are certainly similarities he shares, particularly with Mollymauk, though even those similarities have some differences. While Kingsley does think rather highly of himself, feeling himself like a king (hence his name), he isn’t quite as flamboyant as Molly, preferring to show off his skills in subtler ways; most notably, though he follows Fjord as his captain, he enjoys showing that he’s better at Fjord’s job, and does what he can to undermine him at every moment. He likes poking fun at both Fjord and Jester, and often times he’s snarky and sarcastic with the rest of the Mighty Nein.
Deep down, though, he does care about others. Despite how he might act towards Fjord and Jester, he respects them greatly, since they taught him much of what he knows. He does his best to be what he thinks is a good person, working hard and taking care of the crew, even if that means having to make difficult decisions and get a little violent. He is also passionate when it comes to something that captures his interest, which is how he joined Fjord and became part of his crew in the first place.
A part of him is also sensitive, and perhaps even a bit insecure regarding the rest of the Mighty Nein and his predecessor, Mollymauk. While he feels a kinship with the Mighty Nein, he is aware that part of that familiarity comes from what remains of Molly’s memories, and that his presence is a constant reminder to them of who they had lost. Kingsley himself admits to enjoying his friendship with Caduceus in particular, the only member of the Mighty Nein who never met Molly, because, as he puts it, it’s nice to have someone that doesn’t see Molly when they look at him.
More than anything, though, Kingsley is curious, both about the greater world and about the ones who came before him. As a new presence, Kingsley joined Fjord’s crew partly to see and learn about the world, though he also admits that part of that was also running away from everything that happened before. But realizing that that was something that the other two might have done, he decided that he didn’t want to make those same mistakes. That’s the key thing that makes Kingsley distinct from Molly and Lucien; his desire to learn about the past, wanting to learn more about them and learn from their mistakes, in order to do and be better than who they were and what they did, in order to work towards what he wants his future to be.
Powers and abilities: Kingsley's abilities come from being Tiefling, a Blood Hunter, and a Rogue, and since it is rather extensive I've done my best to organize and provide information about his abilities here
Chosen faction: Undine
Suitability: The world of Exandria, which is based on a D&D game, is very high fantasy and low-tech, so I believe Kingsley would fit well in Caldera, since it is similar to what he's already familiar with
Sample
Kingsley runs into the last person he ever expected to meet
