Skills: As a rogue, Kingsley has developed skills involving sleight of hand, such as pickpocketing, hiding or switching objects, things that require physical manipulation. He has also developed a keen sense of perception, giving him a greater awareness of his surroundings. He has developed sword-fighting skills, and is overall very acrobatic.

Role: Familiar
Role Qualities/Attributes: His teeth will become sharper than normal, and he will have an increase in strength, as well as keen sense of hearing and smell. When he's in the water, he will be able to develop gills and transform into a shark, either fully or partially at his choosing.
Role Reasoning: As someone who is newly existing, there is still a lot that Kingsley is learning about the world and himself. He is still exploring who he is, and more importantly what he wants to be. And while he has a foundation to fall back on with the Mighty Nein, people who can help guide him if he needs them, he is doing his best to try and find his own path. As he tests the waters to figure out what works best for him, his experimentation might have him walking a more neutral path. Being a Familiar role might be a good way for him to further explore what kind of person he’s becoming, giving him the freedom to decide on his own without the pressure of being a Legend or the reputation of being a Myth, as well as allowing him a chance to form a connection with someone who might be able to help him by bonding to someone of the other roles. And perhaps sometime his role might change when he has a stronger sense of self, but for the time being the Familiar role would be the most fitting.

What is the most important and defining relationship(s) in your character's life and why?
The most defining relationship for Kingsley is that with his spiritual brother, Mollymauk. It’s interesting, since Kingsley had never met Mollymauk, and likely would never get the chance to actually meet him in normal circumstances. However, he still continues to feel the influence that his predecessor has, not just on his own life but the lives of the rest of the Mighty Nein. Kingsley has some of Molly’s residual memories and feelings, and while he knows for certain that he is an entirely different being from Mollymauk, he is still fascinated by the memories that were left behind, and wants to know more about who Molly was as a person. At the same time, he is also determined to be his own person, to create his own identity and forge his own path that is different from Molly’s, to figure out how to be a better person on his own and to make his own mistakes. Even though the shadow of Molly will always linger over him, he is determined to grow into himself as a separate figure, while still holding that connection to Molly by keeping him close as a brother.

What is a headcanon (or two) you feel strongly about and that you prefer playing your character with? How is this supported in canon and why do you think it benefits the character's story?
A headcanon that I have for Kingsley is that, at times, he feels a bit conflicted with his relationship with most of the Mighty Nein. While he does view them as friends, much of that might be due to the residual feelings that he received from Mollymauk, especially since shortly after coming into existence the Nein went their separate ways. He remained with Fjord and Jester, and grows to respect them a great deal, but he is aware that his presence is a constant reminder to them of who they had lost. And while he remains friendly with the rest of the Nein, he knows it’s the same for the rest of them as well. He remains loyal and friendly with them to a point, but a part of him wonders if they’ll always see him as someone who replaced Molly, instead of his own person. Kingsley himself mentions how he occasionally visits Caduceus, the only member of the Nein he doesn’t feel conflicted about, because as he put it, “…it's nice to have someone who doesn't have the Molly look when they look at me”, since Caduceus had never met Molly either.

What does your character feel like they struggle with still? Where could they improve? This could be physically, mentally, emotionally, or otherwise.
Something that Kingsley still struggles with at times is accepting the circumstances of his coming into being, and dealing with everything that had happened before. By his own admission, he says that he had been running from everything that happened in the beginning, which seemed quite literal in how he had left with Fjord and Jester and joined their crew to sail across Exandria. While a large part of that had been because he wanted to see the world and to explore his own identity, it also made it difficult to keep contact with the rest of Might Nein himself, to establish a connection with them outside of Molly’s influence as well as getting to learn more about the previous soul. He does seem to want to change that now, however, as he admits that he does not know as much about Molly as he could and is trying to get more information. Still, it might help him to start with getting to know the other members of Mighty Nein better, and to let them get to know him better as well.

If your character could change one thing about their past, what would it be and why? Or why not?
If given the chance to change something about his past, I don’t think Kingsley would ever actually take it. Part of that is simply because there is a lot that he doesn’t know or remember about his collective pasts with Molly and Lucien, other than what he has heard and learned about from the Mighty Nein. And there is still so much he might not understand about how he came to be, and why. Even so, changing the past could mean altering the circumstances of his own existence, which is not something he would want to do. Regardless of the details of his coming to be, he recognizes that he does exist now, for better and for worse. And while he wants to learn about and from the past, he is more interested in working on who he is in the present, and working towards what he wants his future to be.
